Irish Poetry Night in Honor of Lady Gregory at the Cure

Join us for a special Post-St. Patrick's Day edition of our new UniverCity Spoken Words Series on Wednesday March 18th from 6:30-8:30 at the Cure Coffeehouse at 510 Botetourt St in honor of fabled Irish author Lady Augusta Gregory, one of the founders of the legendary Abbey Theater in Dublin whose birthday it will be then. Acclaimed poets Phil Raisor, Renee Olander, Thom Yuill, Noah Renn, Kindra McDonald, Margaret Konkol, Kelly Morse, Lisa Beech Hartz, will joined by CNU Irish Studies professor Anna Teekell as well as some surprise musicians as they read not only from their own work but passages from Joyce, Yeats, Beckett and of course Lady Gregory.
