CLT Announces Recipients of 2020 Faculty Innovator Grants
The Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2020 Faculty Innovator Grants. The program encourages Old Dominion University faculty to explore innovative uses of technology to improve student learning.
Congratulations to the following winners:
- Ann Bruhn, dental hygiene, “Forensic Odontology and Handheld Radiographic Imaging Video Simulation.” Collaborating faculty: Tara Newcomb.
- Alison Lietzenmayer, communication & theatre arts, “Here When You Need It: Asynchronous ePortfolio Support and Feedback.” Collaborating faculty: Megan K. Mize, Elle Tyson.
- Anne Michalek, communication disorders and special education, “Online Gaming Application and Grammar Instruction in Undergraduate SLP Students.” Collaborating faculty: Corrin Richels, Jane Roitsch, Karthik Navuluri.
- Hamid Eisazadeh, mechanical engineering technology, “Online Modules for Additive Manufacturing.” Collaborating faculty: Vukica Jovanovic, Younghan Jung, Shahin Nayyeri Amiri, Basim Matrood.
- Jessica Suedbeck, dental hygiene, “Sexuality Implicit Associations Test Simulation.” Collaborating faculty: Emily Ludwig.
- Melva R. Grant, teaching & learning, “Real-time Sharing for Mathematics Learning Online.” Collaborating faculty: Mary Enderson.
- Tian Luo, STEM education and professional studies, “Integrating a Social Media-enabled Visualization Strategy Into Engineering Education.” Collaborating faculty: Karina Arcaute, Gangfeng Ma.
At the end of each grant activity, the recipient submits a final report to be published on the CLT portal as a resource for the campus community.
CLT’s annual grant program started in 2005.
