March 23 | Title IX & Sexual Violence on US Campuses | 12-2 PM

On March 23, ODU will host Dr. Kate Lockwood Harris (University of Minnesota, Twin Cities), who is an organizational communication scholar with expertise on sexual violence on college campuses. Her book, Beyond the Rapist: Title IX and Sexual Violence on U.S. Campuses, focuses on how colleges and universities are talking about and responding to the epidemic of sexual violence on campuses. Dr. Lockwood Harris will present on her research and lead a conversation among faculty and graduate students on addressing sexism and sexual harassment issues among faculty ranks in academia and ways we might confront and address these issues. 

 

The event takes place from 12-2 PM in the Chesapeake/Portsmouth Room in WEBB Center. 

Lunch will be provided.
