Reminder: Faculty Summer Conference Proposals Due Feb. 14

The Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) reminds you that you’re invited to submit a proposal to speak at the 2020 Faculty Summer Conference, “Transforming the Online Student Learning Experience.” Proposals are due by Feb. 14.

The event will take place May 19-20 at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. Designed to gather scholars from across the disciplines, the conference will focus on how to create an engaging learning experience for students in an online or hybrid setting.

CLT invites faculty to make presentations, lead workshops, participate as panelists, or share posters related to the conference topic.

We’ll address such questions as:

  • How do we plan, organize, develop, and deliver an effective online/hybrid course?
  • How do we design effective and engaging course assignments and assessments?
  • How do we foster faculty presence, availability, and responsiveness?
  • How do we encourage faculty to embrace online course design as a strategy they can use to rethink their teaching practices?

Learn more by visiting the proposals page of the CLT website. Questions? Please contact CLT at 757-683-3172 or clt@odu.edu.
