Communicating Effectively with International Students and Scholars

Location: Conference Room 1310, Library Learning Commons
This session provides practical information and examples to facilitate better communication with international students and faculty, and to provide an environment where cultural exchange and understanding can take place. We will also discuss the specific challenges international students face as they work to achieve their goal of obtaining a degree at an American university.
The Global Certificate Program is for faculty, staff and graduate assistants interested in working with and learning from international students and scholars/researchers at Old Dominion University.
Streaming services are now available for those who are unable to attend in person.
