Online Content: Web Accessibility, Copyright and Writing | a two-hour workshop 4/14
Online Content: Web Accessibility, Copyright and Writing
Do your instructional materials meet Web accessibility standards? Are the course materials you create (your videos and PowerPoint presentations, for example) ADA-compliant?
This workshop will introduce the standards and best practices that instructors should follow when designing online instructional materials or other course content. Topics range from creating accessible text, graphics, and video/audio to how to implement Universal Design for Learning. The instructor’s role in meeting ODU students’ accessibility needs will be discussed throughout. Activities include reformatting content in Blackboard for accessibility. Bring Word docs, PPTs, videos, etc. to be workshopped, if you wish.
