ODU Virginia Beach Shakespeare Day Two 4/18

ODU Virginia Beach celebrating the 400th death anniversary of William Shakespeare

Monday, April 18, at 7 pm there will be a film screening of - Still Dreaming - in Lecture Hall 244.  Still Dreaming takes place at the Lillian Booth Actors Home just outside New York City, where a group of long-retired Broadway entertainers dive into a production of A Midsummers Night Dream and find that nothing is what it seems to be. With a play that is usually about young love and sex farce, this ensemble finds for them, the themes of perception, reality and dreaming deeply resonating at this stage of life. As they deal with the shifting mental and physical challenges of old age, they realize that creativity is a magic force of renewal. Starring Broadway luminaries from another era, Still Dreaming thrills with the force of its relevance for those of any age.

A discussion about the film will follow the screening, with popcorn and light snacks provided.
