CCPO & MARI Seminar Series - April 4, 2016

The next CCPO and MARI seminar will be presented on April 4 by Dr. Donglai Gong from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science.  Dr. Gong's research focuses on
understanding transport and mixing processes in mid and high latitude coastal oceans.  His observational research uses a variety of sampling platforms that include AUVs, gliders, moorings and ships.  His current research is focused on the role of submarine canyons in shelf-basin exchanges.  His seminar will provide a comparison of submarine canyon
effects on shelf exchange using examples from the Mid-Atlantic and Arctic.
