Last Chance! Wine Appreciation starts next week!
Class starts April 7th! Don't miss out on this fun, informative, hands on experience!
Working in collaboration with TASTE, the College of Continuing Education & Professional Development is pleased to announce our second Wine Appreciation course! This informative, entertaining course embarks on an exciting tour of the world's most influential growing regions and substantial grape varieties, and offers students an opportunity to hone their tasting skills through guided sensory analysis of a diverse host of wines.
Sommelier Patrick Farrell fosters a relaxing classroom atmosphere where students can easily discern the trademark flavors and nuances that make wine a unique and compelling taste experience.
Each class meeting will begin with an overview of a preeminent wine region and the grape varieties most famously associated with it, then an open forum discussion will lead into a tasting phase where students sample wines representative of the geography and grapes covered in the first half of the class session.
Patrick will provide hands-on guidance as students learn to identify a wine's constituent grapes, regional origin, and overall quality. After taking Sommelier Patrick Farrell's class, the subject of wine will be much more approachable, understandable, and most importantly fun.
Must be 21 years of age or older to attend.
