Dr. Dana Heller, Chair of Old Dominion University’s Department of English, and Dr. Susan Fraiman, Professor of English at the University of Virginia and author of Cool Men and the Second Sex, will screen and analyze the Amazon original series “Transparent” with a panel discussion to follow.

Dr. Michael P. Bibler, Associate Professor at Louisiana State University teaches writing and gender and sexuality literature courses. His books, Cotton’s Queer Relations and Just Below South focus on queer culture in the North American South. Currently, his research focuses on queer media as it pertains to music and bands. Dr. Bibler will analyze and share the work of the alternative rock band, B-52.
