49th St. Construction- Test holes for new water main

The City of Norfolk will be drilling test holes on 49th St between Bluestone Ave and Hampton Blvd in preparation for water line construction work this summer. The majority of the work will occur March 7th-11th, 2016 from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Any remaining work will be completed early in the following week. Work crews will adjust lanes and direct traffic as necessary. Two -way traffic on 49th St is expected to be maintained, but flow may be restricted down to single lanes. Please utilize alternate routes if possible during this period. Thank you.
