Diehn Concert: Penelope Crawford and Martha Guth

F. Ludwig Diehn Concert Series 2015–2016

Chandler Recital Hall, Diehn Center for the Performing Arts

Love Songs of Mozart and Schubert

Penelope Crawford has appeared as soloist with modern and period instrument orchestras, and as recitalist and chamber musician on major North American concert series. From 1975 to 1990 she was harpsichordist and fortepianist with the Ars Musica Baroque Orchestra, one of the first period instrument ensembles in North America.

Soprano Martha Guth brings consummate musicianship, intelligence and a distinctive tonal palette to a wide range of musical styles.  A much-sought-after concert soloist, her repertoire includes Soprano 1 in Mozart’s C Minor Mass, Orff’s Carmina Burana, the Brahms Requiem, and Britten’s Spring Symphony.
