Information Literacy Tutorials - ODU Libraries

The ODU Libraries are happy to announce that new, updated information literacy modules [link: http://guides.lib.odu.edu/informationliteracytutorials] are now available. These tutorials model the same content in our older set of seven modules, but they have been updated and combined into five modules. The modules are hosted in the Libraries’ Blackboard space, and they are interactive with built-in quizzing. Anyone with a MIDAS ID may enroll to use these modules. They are a great supplement to a class with a research component, or for students to use stand-alone for extra help.

The new tutorials include:

  1. Starting Your Research
  2. Types of Information
  3. Where & How to Find Information
  4. Evaluating Information
  5. Citing Information & Information Ethics

We encourage you to check out the new tutorials soon, as the set of seven will no longer be available after the spring 2016 semester. More details about the tutorials and instructions for accessing them can be found here: http://guides.lib.odu.edu/informationliteracytutorials

Please contact Instructional Services Librarian Rachel Stott with any questions or comments (rlux@odu.edu, 757-683-4185).
