Flooding focus group participants needed!

Do you live in the Little Creek and Pretty Lake areas of Norfolk and Virginia Beach?  If yes, we need your help!
Researchers at Old Dominion University are conducting a study to understand how residents view flooding and sea level rise in the Little Creek and Pretty Lake area.  We are also interested in your perspective regarding adaptation efforts and what can be done to increase your neighborhood’s resilience to flooding.   We are conducting focus groups in your neighborhood on March 16th at Virginia Beach’s Williams Farm Recreation Center and March  24th at Norfolk’s Mary Pretlow Anchor Public Library at 6:30 pm.
We are currently seeking volunteers for focus groups.  Focus groups are expected to last between 60- 90 minutes.  A $20 gift card will be awarded on completion of the focus group activity.
Interested in participating in the focus groups?  Complete the short questionnaire: http://bit.ly/slr_flood
Unable to participate in the focus groups? Don’t live in the Pretty Lake and Little Creek areas? We are also conducting a region-wide web survey in April 2016. If interested in participating in the web survey, provide your e-mail address and you will be contacted with a link to the web survey. Note: All emails will be kept confidential and will only be used for sending a link to the web survey. Provide your e-mail address here: http://bit.ly/slr_flood_survey
