Kate Broderick Faculty Award for Excellence in Promoting Educational Accessibility
Do you know an exceptional professor who meets one or more of the following requirements:
- Provides differentiation in curriculum and instruction supportive of multiple ways of learning and learning styles.
- Provides cognitive and physical supports to all students.
- Creates classroom, as well as extra-curricular environments, designed in consideration of students with accessibility needs and their full participation and engagement.
- Nurturing and welcoming to all students.
- Openly addresses (in a positive and supportive manner) the needs of students with unique abilities.
- Demonstrates commitment to the concept that all people, regardless of the nature or degree of an individual's accommodation needs, have the right and obligation to become full and contributing members of their academic communities.
- Contributions above and beyond job requirements or achievements not likely to be recognized by other organizations.
- Award nominee need not be a person with a disability.
