President Obama challenged American higher education to produce 8 million more college graduates by 2020. ODU’s student success efforts have responded to this challenge with improved retention and graduation rates.  Our faculty have played a critical role in this achievement, educating a diverse population entering college with a wide range of challenges and academic needs.

We invite you to join us as our panelists present their insights on ODU students, opportunities in the classroom, and the role of faculty in supporting student success.

Forum Panelists:

Bridget L. Anderson - Associate Professor, Applied Linguistics

Nina W. Brown - Professor & Eminent Scholar, Counseling & Human Services

David J. Burdige - Professor & Eminent Scholar, Ocean, Earth & Atmospheric Science

Kimberly Adams Tufts - Associate Professor, Nursing

Moderator:

Jeff F. Tanner - Dean, Strome College of Business

Presentations will be followed by questions and comments from the moderator and audience.
