What it Takes to be an Astronaut

On Thursday, December 8th we’re going to have a guest speaker at the Pretlow Planetarium. Holly Szumila-Vance of the ODU Physics Department will give a talk about her recent experiences at the Johnson Space Center where she had a week long interview with NASA about becoming an ASTRONAUT! She has some great stories, photos, and insider info on what the astronaut interview process is like. Her talk starts at 6:30.

To go along with Holly’s presentation, we’ve snagged some early access passes to see the upcoming blockbuster movie Passengers starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt. We’ll have a drawing at the show to see who gets free tickets!

The talk is at 6:30 pm on Thursday, December 8th at the Pretlow Planetarium. It’s free and open to the public.
