Black History Month Calendar: Call for Programs
Greetings!
The Office of Intercultural Relations invites campus departments to submit programs and events for inclusion in the 2017 Annual Old Dominion University Black History Month Calendar. The theme for this year’s celebration is “The Crisis in Black Education” (selected by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History).
The Office of Intercultural Relations will host a number of programs during the month, including a student trip to the National Museum of African American Heritage and Culture in Washington, D.C. Additionally, our office will support the President's Lecture Series featuring Mrs. Michelle Norris on February 2, 2017.
We are excited to share the calendar with the campus and local community in January. As such, we request that all program information be submitted by the priority deadline of December 15, 2016.
Lastly, if you are interested in offering feedback on proposed programs or would like to share suggestions or ideas, please contact Jasmine Omorogbe, associate director, in the Office of Intercultural Relations at jomorogb@odu.edu or 757-683-4406. We thank you for your valuable support and contributions!
