National Weather Service SKYWARN Basic Training This Thursday, November 17th!
Are you interested in the weather? Are you service-oriented? Do want to help your community and the National Weather Service by reporting weather conditions as they happen?
If you answered yes to any of the above, consider joining us for a Basic SKYWARN Spotter training class, scheduled for this Thursday, November 17, from 7-9pm at the Norfolk Police Department's Third Precinct Community Room at 901 Asbury Avenue! This FREE class provides you with the training and tools to be a designated weather spotter for the National Weather Service. Learn about how thunderstorms form, differences in cloud formations, how to report various weather phenomena, and much more!

DIRECTIONS TO SITE:
From ODU, head north on Hampton Boulevard to Terminal Boulevard. Turn right on Terminal Boulevard to I-64 East. Take exit 277B (Tidewater Drive north). Follow Tidewater Drive north, then turn right onto Central Business Park Drive, then turn right onto Asbury Avenue. Unrestricted parking is available in front of the building.
