The Roosevelts on PBS
<p> Local PBS station WHRO will be repeating an earlier presentation of Ken Burns' <em><strong>The Roosevelts: An Intimate History </strong></em>starting Tuesday, May 5th and running through June 23rd. The seven part, fourteen hour film follows these three remarkable individuals and how they shaped US history.</p> <p> The Village Bookstore has two great books that could offer even more insight into the lives of Theodore, our 26th President,, Franklin, our 32nd President, and Eleanor, the niece of Theodore and First Lady.</p> <p> Douglas Brinkley's <em><strong>" The Wilderness Warrior "</strong></em> and Doris Kearns Godwin,<em><strong> " The Bully Pulpit."</strong></em></p> <p> We hope you get a chance to watch the presentation and perhaps follow-up with a book.</p> <p> </p>
