Blackboard: What's New This Fall?

<p align="center"> <strong>Blackboard: What&rsquo;s New This Fall?</strong></p> <p> In August, Blackboard&#39;s 2014 Spring Release was implemented and brought with it some significant and help new and modified features.&nbsp; Some of the features include:</p> <ul> <li> Student Preview (works like a virtual student with full access to all student actions in your course)</li> <li> Group Management (can export group settings)</li> <li> Date Management (can dynamically change all due dates with one date change or can change individually)</li> <li> Course Message Notifications (alert you when a new message is posted)</li> <li> Test Access Log (view details about a student&#39;s interaction with a test, particualrly when being &quot;kicked out&quot; is reported)</li> <li> Reusable Objects (create frequently used Blackboard items, assignments, assessments in&nbsp; your content collection so that you can link to them without recreating for each course)</li> <li> Lynda.com (now in the mash-ups to search for Lynda courses directly from your course)</li> <li> Calculated Formula Questions (now allow significant numbers)</li> <li> <strong>Last but not Least - SafeAssign</strong>&nbsp;(Safe Assign is no longer an independent tool.&nbsp; SafeAssign is integrated directly into the Assignment tool as a feature.&nbsp; You can use in-line grading features!)</li> </ul> <p> Come learn more in a hands-on workshop with staff from the Center for Learning and Teaching:</p> <p> <strong>When:</strong>&nbsp; on</p> <p align="center"> <strong>Thursday, September 4 from 10am-noon<br /> Friday, September 5 from 10am-noon</strong></p> <p> <strong>Where:</strong>&nbsp; This workshop will be held at the CLT&rsquo;s Faculty Development Lab, Gornto 101 and is available for participation via live two-way video at the Higher Education Centers.</p> <div> <p> <strong>To register:</strong>&nbsp; Log in at <a href="http://clt.odu.edu/">http://clt.odu.edu</a> and use the <em>teach</em>ODU module or click Events in the top navigation.</p> </div> <p> &nbsp;</p>
