Increased Phishing attempts at ODU

There has been a recent increase in the Phishing attacks to hit the Old Dominion University campus. These attacks continue to are get more sophisticated and targeted. Many of them now ask for your login ID and Password along with other personal information including banking information. This information, when given, is then used to attempt to gain access to ODU and personal resources.

Please remember – Old Dominion University will NEVER ask for your PASSWORD. Please delete Phishing e-mails or, if you are uncertain, forward them to ITSHelp@odu.edu. Do NOT follow their instructions or update any information as requested in the e-mail. Tell your co-workers to do the same.

J.
