As part of their presentation, they will consider the various cultural contexts of plagiarism and they will share strategies that instructors can use to help students avoid plagiarism.</p> <p> Elizabeth Vincelette’s research interests include writing assessment, editing, genre, and the representation of American literature in digital spaces. </p> <p> Mike DeBowes’ current doctoral research addresses student conduct administrator compliance with the statistical reporting obligations of the Clery Act. He has presented nationally on the topic of plagiarism and has been featured twice on <em>HearSay with Cathy Lewis</em> to discuss the issues surrounding academic integrity.</p> <p> Please come join us for this discussion about plagiarism and ways to address it.
