27th Annual Harold Protsman Classical Period Piano Competition in conjunction with the Diehn Concert Series featuring Lambert Orkis and David Hardy

<p> <strong>Saturday, March 22, 2014, 2:30 pm</strong><br /> <strong>The 27th Annual Harold Protsman Classical Period Piano Competition Finals</strong><br /> Contestants, ranging from preschool to college undergraduate, will each perform two movements from the Classical Period. Piano pieces are timed according to grade level. Guest adjudicator Lambert Orkis will choose winners for each level and for Most Promising Overall Performances. First and second place winners receive a monetary prize as well as the Most Promising Overall Performance for Levels 1-3 and 4-5.&nbsp;Chandler Recital Hall, F. Ludwig Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center.</p> <p> &nbsp;</p> <p> <strong>Sunday, March 23, 2014, 3 pm</strong><br /> <strong>The 27th Annual Harold Protsman Classical Period Piano Competition Master Class</strong><br /> Selected finalists will perform one movement from the Classical Period. Pianist Lambert Orkis will work with each finalist on technique, phrasing and musicality. The master class is a learning experience for teachers, performers, students and guests.&nbsp;Chandler Recital Hall, F. Ludwig Fine and Performing Arts Center.</p> <p> &nbsp;</p> <p> <strong>Sunday, March 23, 2014, 3 pm</strong><br /> <strong>Cello Master Class in conjunction with The 27th Annual Harold Protsman Classical Period Piano Competition</strong><br /> Cellist, David Hardy will work with cellists and chamber ensembles on technique, phrasing and musicality. The master class is a learning experience for teachers, performers, students and guests.&nbsp;Choral Rehearsal Room, F. Ludwig Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center.</p> <p> &nbsp;</p> <p> <strong>Monday, March 24, 2014 8:00 p.m.</strong></p> <p> <strong>F.
