FY2014 Year End Closing Calendar
<p> FY 2014 CLOSING CALENDAR</p> <p> The FY2014 Closing Calendar is posted on the Office of Finance web site and a link is included in this announcement. </p> <p> PLEASE BOOKMARK THIS INFORMATION.</p> <p> The Office of Finance is responsible for coordinating and preparing procedures for fiscal yearâ end closing. The procedures include processing budget adjustments, departmental deposits, payroll deadlines, and additional information related to the financial deadlines for fiscal yearâ end. The FY2014 Year End Closing Calendar contains complete information concerning financial deadlines for the fiscal year, including procurement deadlines. </p> <p> Year-end closing requires the coordination of all purchasing activities, budget, and financial transactions. Budget units are responsible for submitting required documents to Procurement Services, Budget, and the Office of Finance by all published deadlines. Each of these offices is responsible for assisting budget units by processing the <strong><em>approved and compliant</em></strong> requested work in a timely manner.</p> <p> Your assistance with this process is critical. </p> <p> Receipt of goods/services to be charged to this fiscal year - The policy of the Commonwealth of Virginia and Old Dominion University is that goods/services received on or before June 30 are paid from the current fiscal year (FY2014). Goods and/or services received on or after July 1 will be charged to the new fiscal year (FY2015).</p> <p> Please allow sufficient time for delivery of goods and services when ordering.</p> <p> Each budget unit director should review the deadlines and procedures to ensure that published deadlines are met and that budgets are not overspent.
