Online Safe Space Training for Distance Learning Sites
<p> The Safe Space Committee is proud to announce it now offers online certification for those who are employed at our distance learning sites and higher education centers. This certification covers the following topics through videos and self-guided activities:</p> <ul> <li> The need for a safe space committee</li> <li> Sexual and gender identity</li> <li> The coming out process</li> <li> LGBTQ concepts and history</li> <li> How to help LGBTQ students</li> </ul> <p> The training will take 4-5 hours to complete, and you complete it at your own pace.</p> <p> If you are interested in enrolling in the online Safe Space ally certification please email the Safe Space Committee at <a href="mailto:safespace@odu.edu">safespace@odu.edu</a> and include your MIDAS ID in the email.</p>
