<p> <strong>Recording and Discussion Options for Missed Class Meetings</strong></p> <p> <strong>Readings and Online Videos - </strong>Link to pertinent readings and YouTube videos to supplement what you might have done in class.</p> <p> <strong>Record your own videos - </strong>Three Quick Options:</p> <ol> <li> Kaltura - Record yourself from your Webcam.</li> <li> Kaltura - Record your screen if you use PowerPoint or other applications during class.</li> <li> Narrated PowerPoint - Break up your PowerPoint slideshow into subtopics so that the video lengths are manageable at 5-7 or 10-15 minutes each. Then use PowerPoint's Record Narration or Record Slide Show feature and SAVE AS a Windows Media Video (WMV) file. You can embed WMV files into Items in Blackboard.</li> </ol> <p> <strong>Threaded Discussion: </strong>In your Blackboard course Discussion Board, you can create threaded discussion forums to discuss topics that you might have discussed in class. Faculty can find Discussion Board in the Control Panel under Course Tools. Students can find Discussion Board in the Tools link on their course menu.</p> <p> <strong>Log in to Blackboard</strong> and read the <strong>Faculty Information Module</strong> to access documentation and help links related to these options.
