17th Annual Blue Crab BowlâCall for Volunteers
<p align="center"> <strong>17<sup>th</sup> Annual Blue Crab Bowl—Call for Volunteers </strong></p> <p align="center"> </p> <p> Teams from Virginia high schools will be competing in the annual regional competition of the National Ocean Sciences Bowl. Topics included are oceanography, geology, biology, maritime history, and marine policy. Teams are quizzed on their knowledge and awareness.</p> <p> We are looking for ODU faculty, research and support staff, and students to volunteer to officiate and manage the event. On Friday, January 31<sup>st</sup>, eight to 10 volunteers are needed to help with set-up starting at noon. On Saturday morning, February 1<sup>st</sup>, 10-15 volunteers are needed at 7AM to set up the competition rooms and buzzer systems. After set-up, volunteers will be escorting teams to their competition rooms in Webb Center and managing the information boards in North Mall and the Cape Charles Room. Volunteers are needed until 2PM on Saturday. Lunch and breakfast will be provided.
