E-Z Pass for State Vehicles For Midtown/Downtown Tunnels
<p> Notices went out to the contacts associated with all state owned vehicles on Friday, January 24, 2014 regarding options available for E-Z Pass payments (Pay By Plate - NO transponders) specifically associated with the Elizabeth River Crossings (Downtown and Midtown tunnels and the future MLK Freeway extension <strong>ONLY). </strong>Tolls become effective February 1.</p> <p> </p> <p> Options for state owned vehicles are basically:</p> <p> Do nothing (best for vehicles that will infrequently/never incur a toll – there will be a $1.59 service fee, plus the cost of the toll for non-registered vehicles if an unregistered vehicle uses one of the above tunnels). Or,</p> <p> Establish an account (which will cost $0.50/month/vehicle, plus the cost of the tolls, but eliminates the $1.59 service fee).</p> <p> </p> <p> If you have any questions, please contact Annette Schmidt in Facilities Management at 683-4269.</p> <p> Thank you.</p>
