Upcoming Women's Studies Works in Progress Conference- April 5 Deadline to submit in March!

Be a part of our annual Works in Progress conference!

April 5, 2014—Save the Date!

The Women’s Studies Department at Old Dominion University is planning a Works in Progress, the regional interdisciplinary conferences of feminist scholarship. It will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014, in the Batten Arts and Letters (BAL) Building on the ODU campus. The event is planned to begin at 8:00 am in BAL 1012.

As before, this will be a nonjuried conference: anyone whose research deals with women, gender and/or sexuality is welcome to make a proposal and will be placed on an appropriate panel.

This conference is a good place to try something new or to share a completed paper (or piece of creative writing) that colleagues in other disciplines or other universities in the area have not had a chance to hear. It will also provide a supportive setting for novice researchers to give papers.

And of course Works in Progress gives us the opportunity to see old friends and to make new ones.

A Call for Proposals will be issued in January, with a submission date of March 3, 2014. In the meantime, if you have questions, please contact Anita Clair Fellman, the conference organizer: afellman@odu.edu

Post attached flyer in your area!!
