Pre-Retirement Seminar
<p> The Department of Human Resources is pleased to announce that we will be offering a Pre-Retirement Seminar in Webb Center on <strong>Tuesday, September 24, 2013</strong>. Registration for each session is required. </p> <p> <strong>Please Note: All repeat sessions will present the same information.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Virginia Retirement System</strong> at 10:30 a.m. <strong><u>OR</u></strong> 12:30 p.m.</p> <p> (Webb Center / Hampton/Newport News Room) <em>This session is designed to walk you through important retirement decisions (such as when to retire and selecting a benefit payout option). Other topics covered include: using myVRS and benefits after retirement. </em></p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Retiree Health Care</strong> at 10:30 a.m. <strong><u>OR</u></strong> 12:30 p.m.</p> <p> (Webb Center / River Rooms) <em>This session will provide valuable information regarding health coverage for Non-Medicare and Medicare retirees. Topics covered include: benefits available, enrolling in retiree health coverage and prescription drug coverage</em><em>. </em></p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Social Security</strong> at 9 a.m. <strong><u>OR</u></strong> 2 p.m.</p> <p> (Webb Center / Hampton/Newport News Room) <em>This session will cover all aspects of Social Security benefits during retirement, including information about enrolling in Medicare coverage.</em></p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>Will & Estate Planning </strong>at 9 a.m. <strong><u>OR</u></strong> 2 p.m.</p> <p> (Webb Center / River Rooms) <em>This session is designed to provide you with information regarding Will & Estate Planning to assist you in preparing for retirement.</em></p> <p> </p> <p> <strong>If you would like to attend any of the sessions, you must enroll via the ODU Knowledge Center. Classified employees must have supervisors’ approval to attend.
