Become a Program Coordinator for the English Language Center
<p> The English Language Center (ELC) at Old Dominion University (ODU) has a number of Special Programs during the school year with participants from all over the world. Program participants spend as little as two weeks and as long as one year in their studies at the English Language Center (ELC).<br /> <br /> The ELC seeks qualified applicants who are committed to assisting international students with their stay at ODU and the ELC.</p> <p> <br /> <span class="text_exposed_hide">A Program C</span><span class="text_exposed_show">oordinator:<br /> <br /> 1) Completes office duties, prepares folders, and other information that assist students during their stay;<br /> <br /> 2.) Supports students with getting settled into their university lives here at ODU and the ELC. This includes, but is not limited to, helping students obtain an ODU e-mail account, check into on-campus housing, shopping for necessities, and other support duties;<br /> <br /> 3.) Plans, coordinates, and participates in activities for students of the program. These may include outings to the beach, a trip to Busch Gardens amusement park, a weekend trip to Washington, DC, etc.<br /> <br /> 4.) Works with faculty/staff, other coordinators, host families, and students of the ELC to support the students and the program.</span></p> <p> <span class="text_exposed_show">5.) This is a paid position that requires the program coordinator to ferry students to and from some events; vehicles will be provided.
