Campus Power Outage - Select Buildings
<p> </p> <p> As a result of the power outage that occurred July 08, 2013, Dominion Power needs to perform follow-up work on the electrical gear near Child Study. The switch needs to be replaced and work will take approximately 8 hours total, with an estimated 30 minute outage required at the end of the work. Dominion Power will perform this work on <strong><u>Sunday 8/25/13</u></strong> starting at approximately 6:00 AM. The 30 minute outage is expected to occur between 2:00 PM. The following buildings will be affected:</p> <p> Child Study</p> <p> Education</p> <p> Kaufman Hall</p> <p> Chemistry</p> <p> Pretlow Planetarium</p> <p> Kaplan Conservatory</p> <p> Engineering & Computational Sciences – will be operational under generator power, but will have momentary outage. Building will transfer to generator at 10:00 AM and return to normal after outage is complete.</p>
