ODU eTextbook Pilot: Free eTextbooks for your students

<p> ODU has been accepted to participate in a fall 2013 e-textbook pilot organized by <a href="http://www.educause.edu/">Educause</a> and the <a href="http://www.internet2.edu/">Internet2 consortium</a>. The pilot program will utilize free McGraw-Hill e-textbooks to explore, evaluate, and advance the transition from traditional media models to electronic platforms.&nbsp;</p> <p> Information Technology Services (ITS) has partnered with the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) for the fall pilot to obtain feedback on faculty&rsquo;s use of e-textbooks and student opinions about their learning experiences when using an e-textbook.</p> <p> Participation in the pilot is limited and faculty will be selected on a first come, first served basis; interested faculty should contact Paula Jamison, Director of User Services (ITS) (<a href="mailto:pjamison@odu.edu">pjamison@odu.edu</a>; x 3199) for additional information.&nbsp;</p> <p> The Executive Summary from the Educause Center for Analysis and Research:&nbsp;&nbsp;Understanding what higher education needs from e-textbooks:&nbsp; An Educause/Internet2 Pilot may be accessed from the link below.</p> <p> <a href="http://net.educause.edu/ir/library/pdf/ers1307/ERS1307es.pdf">Fall 2012 eTextbook Pilot Report &ndash; Executive Summary</a></p>
