<p align="center"> <strong>Extensive STEM-H e-Book Collections Available</strong></p> <p align="center"> </p> <p> Old Dominion University Libraries, as a member of the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) is pleased to announce that two new collections of e-books primarily in STEM-H fields – Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Health – are now available.</p> <p> SciVerse ScienceDirect e-Books from Elsevier, spans 22 subject collections within the science and technology disciplines and key health sciences disciplines, and includes nearly 700 titles from Elsevier’s most current 2013 collection. This addition will complement the Elsevier e-journals already available in the University Libraries.</p> <p> Four large subject-based e-book collections from Springer, a leading global scientific publisher, will add over 2,500 titles published in 2013 to VIVA’s collection. These five subjects –Behavioral Science, Biomedical and Life Science, Computer Science, and Earth and Environmental Science – will provide solid support to STEM-H curricula at Old Dominion University.</p> <p> Students and faculty will be able to easily find these titles in the University Libraries’ catalog.</p> <p> The addition of these collections was made possible through the support of Governor Bob McDonnell, Secretary of Education Laura Fornash, the State Council of Higher Education of Virginia, and funding appropriated by the General Assembly.</p> <p> For more information, contact Pamela Morgan, Collection Development Services Librarian, at 683-4148 or <a href="mailto:pmorgan@odu.edu">pmorgan@odu.edu</a>.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
