Changes This Year to Health Insurance
<p> The Virginia Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) has announced there will be important changes to your benefits beginning July 1, 2013. Open Enrollment for health benefits and flexible spending accounts will be May 1 – 24, 2013.</p> <p> DHRM will be conducting employee meetings throughout the Commonwealth and mailing The Spotlight on Benefits newsletter to your home in mid- April to provide detailed information on Open Enrollment and changes to the health insurance plan and Flexible Reimbursement Accounts.</p> <p> DHRM has not yet provided state agencies, including Old Dominion, specific details of the changes. As soon as the university receives this information, ODU Human Resources will inform the campus and hold a series of informational sessions to explain the details and answer questions.</p> <p> Since open enrollment changes are now conducted online, it is critical that you establish access to EmployeeDirect at <a href="https://edirect.virginia.gov/">https://edirect.virginia.gov</a>. To register, you will need to provide your Employee Number, which is the first seven numbers on your health insurance card. If you do not have a health insurance card, select Forgot Employee Number and follow the prompts.</p>
