<p> <strong>Date</strong>: Friday, April 5, 2013</p> <p> <strong>Time</strong>: 10:30 AM</p> <p> <strong>Place</strong>: E&amp;CS Auditorium, First Floor</p> <p> <strong>Title</strong>: <em>Computational Adventures in Evolutionary Biology</em></p> <p> <strong>Speaker</strong>: Eric Jakobsson, Director, National Center for Biomimetic Nanoconductors, Senior Research Scientist, National Center for Supercomputing Applications.</p> <p> <strong>Brief Abstract</strong>: Analysis of patterns in genetic sequences of present day organisms illuminates evolutionary history of their ancestors. Our work reveals multiple dimensions of molecular evolution in addition to descent.
