Friends of the Libraries Author Dinner and Silent Auction
<div> The Friends of the ODU Libraries Anual Author Dinner and Fundraising Silent Auction will be held on</div> <div> Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club. There will be a reception with cash bar at 6:00 pm, followed by a buffet dinner.</div> <div> Cost of the Dinner is $40 per person ($35 per Life Member). Symonds, Professor Emeritus at the United States Naval Academy, where he taught naval histroy and Civil War History for thirty years. Dr. Symonds is the author of twelve books and the editor of nine others. From 2005 to 2007 he was the Chief Historian of the USS Monitor Center at the Mariners' Museum in Newport News, overseeing the opening and promotion of that exhibit.</div> <div> Dr. Symonds' books will be available for purchase at the dinner, courtesy of the University Village Bookstore.</div> <div> </div> <div> The Friends' Outstanding Achievement Award will be presented to a faculty member from the College of Business and Public Administration.</div> <div> </div> <div> Please see attached file for further details and the registration form.</div>
