Classical Period Piano Competition

<p> 64 Piano Students, ranging from Pre-school to College Undergraduate, will compete in the 26TH ANNUAL HAROLD PROTSMAN CLASSICAL PERIOD PIANO COMPETITION this Saturday, March 23. Prliminaries, which are private, will begin at 8:30 AM. At 2:30 PM, fifteen students chosen from the preliminaries will compete for cash awards of some $6200 in the competition finals. Finals, which are in five levels based upon grade in school, will be judged by world-reknown concert pianist and teacher, JOHN O&#39;CONOR.</p> <p> On Sunday, &nbsp;March 24, THE INVENTIA PIANO DUO &nbsp;- ANDREY KASPAROV &amp; OKSANA LUTYSHYN - will perform a half-hour recital starting at 2:00 PM. At 3:00 PM, John O&#39;Conor will conduct a master class for students selected from the final competition.</p> <p> EVENTS LISTED ABOVE WILL BE HELD IN WILSON CHANDLER RECITAL OF THE DIEHN FINE AND PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. THEY ARE FREE OF CHARGE AND THE PUBLIC IS ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.</p> <p> On Sunday, March 25, John O&#39;Conor will perform in the LUDWIG F. DIEHN CONCERT SERIES at 8:00 PM. in Chandler Recital Hall.
