PFF Event 3/22: ePublishing in Academia
<p> There will be a Preparing Future Faculty Event Friday, March 22, from noon until 2:00 p.m. in the Virginia Beach Room of Webb Center entitled: "Publish, Don't Perish: The Use of ePublishing in academia". Dr. Avi Santo, Assistant Professor, Communication and Theatre Arts and Co-Creator of Media Commons: A Digital Scholarly Network (<a href="http://mediacommons.futureofthebook.org/">http://mediacommons.futureofthebook.org</a>) will discuss some of the critical issues in his presentation “When New Modes of Publishing Meet Old Modes of Evaluation: Rethinking Our Credentials”.</p> <p> This will be followed by a panel discussion with faculty and students involved in different aspects of epublishing. Panelists will be Dr. Michelle Kelley, Professor, Department of Psychology; Dr. Bob Lucking, Professor, Teaching & Learning, and Mr. Lucas Flatt, ODU Graduate Student and Managing Editor of BarelySouth.com</p> <p> All ODU and PFF affiliated graduate students (and faculty) are welcome.
