PFF Event 3/22: ePublishing in Academia

<p> There will be a Preparing Future Faculty Event Friday, March 22, from noon until 2:00 p.m.&nbsp;in the Virginia Beach Room of Webb Center entitled: &quot;Publish, Don&#39;t Perish:&nbsp; The Use of ePublishing in academia&quot;.&nbsp;Dr. Avi Santo, Assistant Professor, Communication and Theatre Arts and Co-Creator of Media Commons:&nbsp; A Digital Scholarly Network (<a href="http://mediacommons.futureofthebook.org/">http://mediacommons.futureofthebook.org</a>) will discuss some of the critical issues in his presentation &ldquo;When New Modes of Publishing Meet Old Modes of Evaluation:&nbsp; Rethinking Our Credentials&rdquo;.</p> <p> This will be followed by a panel discussion with faculty and students&nbsp; involved in different aspects of epublishing. Panelists will be&nbsp;Dr.&nbsp;Michelle Kelley, Professor, Department of Psychology;&nbsp;Dr. Bob Lucking, Professor, Teaching &amp; Learning, and&nbsp;Mr. Lucas Flatt, ODU Graduate Student and Managing Editor of BarelySouth.com</p> <p> All ODU and PFF affiliated graduate students (and faculty) are welcome.&nbsp;No registration is necessary.
