Bahraini Ambassador, Houda Ezra Nonoo

The Graduate Program in International Studies, in partnership with the World Affairs Council of Greater Hampton Roads, is proud to present, Ambassador Houda Ezra Nonoo, Bahraini Ambassador to the United States.

After nearly two years of nonstop unrest, opposing factions in Bahrain are set to open talks to ease an Arab Spring conflict that has run longer than Syria’s rebellion and is playing out on the doorstep of the U.S. military’s main naval base in the Persian Gulf. As one of the United States closest allies in the region, these talks will prove to be highly significant for US interests in the region as well as for the US foreign policy approach to the Middle East.

Please join us for this timely talk from Ambassador Nonoo on February 21st from 7:00—8:00pm in the Burgess Room!

Event is FREE for Students, Faculty and Staff.
