Comet ISON viewing opportunity

Pretlow Planetarium invites you to a telescopic viewing of comet ISON on Tuesday Nov 19 between 5:00 AM and sunrise at the King Neptune statue, VA Beach. The comet has brightened significantly in recent days. It will ‘graze' the Sun on Thanksgiving Day and may not survive the encounter, so this may be the best chance to see it. Also visible in the pre-dawn sky will be comet Lovejoy, Jupiter and its moon, Mars, and the Great Nebula in Orion. Families and friends are welcome.
