Ready for some Halloween Fun?

<p> <b>Monday, October 21, 2013, 7:30 pm </b><br /> <font color="#0000A0"><b><i>Let&#39;s Get in a Mood for Halloween </i></b></font><br /> <font color="#0000A0">The Norfolk Chamber Consort continues its 45th anniversary season with &quot;Let&#39;s Get in a Mood for Halloween.&quot; The concert opens with organist Bradley Norris performing the famous Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by J.S. Bach. Contralto Sondra Gelb will then be joined by pianist and the Consort&#39;s Artistic Co-Director Oksana Lutsyshyn in their performance of &quot;Death and the Maiden&quot; by Franz Schubert and &quot;Der Totenkranz&quot; by Amy Beach. Following these performances, violinist Pavel Ilyashov will play &quot;Danse macabre&quot; by Camille Saint-Sa&euml;ns, with the piano part arranged for organ by Lutsyshyn who will be accompanying Ilyashov. The first half will conclude with pianist and the Consort&#39;s Artistic Co-Director Andrey Kasparov performing &quot;Mephisto Waltz No. 1&quot; by Franz Liszt. The second part of the concert will open with a performance of &quot;Songs and Dances of Death&quot; by Modest Musorgsky. Contralto and Old Dominion University faculty Kelly Montgomery will be accompanied by Kasparov. The concert will conclude with &quot;Suite gothique&quot; by L&eacute;on Bo&euml;llmann as performed by Christ &amp; St. Luke&#39;s new Music Director Kevin Kwan in his Consort debut.
