Darden Lecture in Education featuring Author David L. Kirp

Kirp, author of Improbable Scholars: The Rebirth of a Great American School System and a Strategy for America’s Schools and The Sandbox Investment: The Preschool Movement and Kids-First Politics. Kirp is a professor of public policy at the University of California, Berkeley and author of 16 books. From the beginning of his career as a professor at Harvard Graduate School of Education, children’s issues have been his passions. He is a recipient of Berkeley’s Distinguished Teaching Award, a graduate of Amherst College and a former trustee of his alma mater and Harvard Law School.
