You're invited to the next meeting of the faculty who teach (or will soon teach) online courses -- Tuesday 10/22

You’re invited to the next Online Faculty Learning Community meeting

The next Online Faculty Learning Community (OFLC) meeting will happen on Tuesday October 22nd at 12:30 PM. In these meetings, teachers on online courses gather to share ideas – both online and face-to-face.

The OFLC was created last year by a group of teachers of online ODU courses who wanted to get together once a month to talk about teaching online.

The next gathering of the Online Faculty Learning Community will happen on Tuesday, October 22 in Gornto 422 and by two-way video from 12:30-1:30 pm. The topic: Audio/Video Feedback Tools like Jing, Audacity, and Voicethread.

We’ll ask you to share any of your own strategies for engaging your students, and we’ll discuss ways that teaching hybrid courses can improve learning outcomes.

To register to participate in Gornto 422 or via two-way video: please visit http://clt.odu.edu and click EVENTS. Then, look for the entry for the OFLC on October 22. Once you have registered, you will receive an email notifying you of the option to participate via two-way video. If you want to participate via two-way video technology, please click “other” in the dropdown option box and click submit. The system will notify me and I will send you an email confirming that you will use two-way video technology. If this is your first time using two-way video, please register by midnight, October 19 to allow for time to create and test your two way video account.

For more information: Send email to clt@odu.edu or phone Susan Boze at 683-3172.
