<div class="grid-12 page-content col-border"> <h1 class="entry-title"> HAMPTON ROADS YOUTH WIND ENSEMBLE AUDITION DATE SET</h1> <p align="center"> HAMPTON ROADS YOUTH WIND ENSEMBLE AUDITION DATE SET</p> <p align="center"> </p> <p> </p> <p> The Hampton Roads Youth Wind Ensemble seeks woodwind, brass, and percussion students currently in grades 7-12 for its spring 2013 season. The ensemble is sponsored by the Old Dominion University’s Community Music Division and meets for 12 weeks beginning on Wednesday, March 13 through May 29 from 6:30- 8:30 pm. The group presents a final concert that is free and open to the public at University Theater on Friday, May 31 at 7:30 pm. </p> <p> </p> <p> “HRYWE” was started in 1999 by area musician Victor Hugo as an additional outlet for interested young band students desiring to meet other like-minded youth from throughout the Hampton Roads area. Mr. Ledford Wilson of North Carolina will direct the ensemble for the third year and is both an enthusiastic educator and talented performer.</p> <p> </p> <p> Please contact 683-4075 or oducmd@odu.edu to set up an audition time.
