U.S.M.C. Platoon Leader's Class (PLC) Internship Information Session 11/30/12 @ 10:00 am

Please join me on Friday, November 30th for an information session at 10:00 a.m. in the Williamsburg Room, located upstairs in Webb,

The program I am recruiting for is called the Platoon Leader's Class (PLC)

which is presented as an internship program. All college freshman and

sophomores with a minimum of a 1000 SAT (Math/Verbal ) or 22 ACT and have

at least a 2.0 GPA are eligible to apply. Through this program, students

would attend Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Quantico, VA for two separate

six-week training sessions, beginning this upcoming summer. Students who

are accepted into the program, finish OCS and graduate with their Bachelor's

Degree are then offered a commission in the Marine Corps for their choice to

either choose or accept. The program is much like NROTC, minus military

obligation during the school year. We also have financial and tuitional

assistance to help students pay for their school.

The information session on the 30th will begin with a presentation on Marine

Corps Leadership and then transition into details about the PLC program and

will be followed by a presentation by LtCol Nothelfer about females and

aviators in the Marine Corps. I would like the presentation to start at

10AM and will most likely last until 12PM with follow-on interviews

available.

As always, we encourage students to learn more

about the Marine Corps Officer Programs by going to www.Marines.com

Capt. Franklin
