QEP Workhsops -- $2,000 stipend -- Apply by Friday, 11/30!
<p> We are recruiting faculty in each college who are willing to stretch their minds to learn how to better stretch their students' minds. <strong>We encourage full-time faculty teaching 300 and 400-level courses to</strong> <strong>apply to the <em>Learning through Writing </em>Faculty Workshops</strong> to learn how to enhance learning through writing in ways that will not burden you with grading! Topics include: Stretching our Minds, Does it Have to be a 20-page Paper, That’s Not How WE Do it, Throw Me a Lifeline, and How to Assign Writing When Writing is Hard to Do. <strong>Participants will receive a $2,000 stipend for attending the workshop and refreshments including lunch. Participants must be able</strong> <strong>to attend all 5 workshop sessions which will be held every third Friday during the Spring 2013 term: 1/25, 2/15, 3/8, 3/29 and 4/19 from 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM.
