How Blue Are You? Test Your Mood

National Depression Screening Day (NDSD) is held annually during Mental Illness Awareness Week in October to raise awareness and screen people for depression and related mood and anxiety disorders. Research reports that 66 percent of students felt hopeless at least once during the past year (ACHA 2009). NDSD raises awareness and educates students about the signs and symptoms of mood and anxiety disorders, as well as connecting at-risk students to the resources they need.

The screenings, offered in-person, are anonymous and confidential. The brief screening will help students get help if needed and referrals are tailored for the Office of Counseling Services or other community agencies.

Come join us:

Tuesday, October 30, 2012

11am-1pm

North Mall, Webb Center

There will be food, games, prizes, and confidential screenings.

This event is co-sponsored by:

Office of Counseling Services, Women’s Center, Dining Services, Recreation Sports and Wellness, Health Promotion, and Office of Student Activities and Leadership.
