The Accessibility Sanctuary: Drop-In Digital Accessibility Support

We know the move toward digital transformation can lead to technological fatigue. These unrecorded Zoom hours are a sanctuary from the "or-else" noise; they are a space designed specifically for you to work on your content with expert help at your side. No formal presentations or compliance lectures; we dive straight into your files to help you solve the problems that the software can't. Whether you need to fix one stubborn document or want to rethink the accessibility of an entire module, come get the support you need to help you make your digital course content accessible and ready for all Monarchs to succeed.

Due to the nature of drop-in support, these sessions will not be recorded.

Beyond the [Accessibility Compliance] Gauge: Empowering Faculty with YuJa and TidyUP

Digital accessibility is about more than just a gauge; it’s about making sure your expertise reaches every student. This workshop explores YuJa Panorama (including the newest updates) and TidyUP updates to foster a culture of inclusion. We’ll demonstrate the new tools within YuJa: Structural Remediation for PDFs, Autopilot for other file formats, and Microsoft Add-ins that let you bring YuJa's rubric and alternative formats into Word and PowerPoint. These tools are designed to move you past compliance and toward meaningful, accessible design. Come learn how to streamline your workflow and make your Canvas course more accessible for all students.

Monarchs Accessibility Design and Practice Training (ADAPT)

Building Accessible Digital Content is a series of workshops grounded in the understanding that a student's first interaction with your teaching happens through your course design and content. Designing for accessibility isn't just about following a mandate; it’s about ensuring every Monarch can engage with your expertise from day one. This structured series of asynchronous workshops is designed to respect your time and reduce your workload; you’ll master high-impact fundamentals immediately and learn the strategic 3Rs Framework (Retire, Replace, or Remediate) to handle complex PDFs with surgical precision. As you progress through the workshops, you will earn Certificates of Completion that recognize your growth in inclusive design and provide a clear, procedural path to making digital accessibility a sustainable part of your professional workflow.
